The Attempt To Achieve The American Dream Ended In Tragedy On Elvis (2021) Movie Script

This study aims to analyze Elvis' efforts in achieving the American Dream through characterization, plot, and setting in the Elvis movie script supported by the American Dream theory by James Truslow Adam. The approach used in this study is Sociology and American Dream. The object of research used in this study is the script of the Elvis film by Bazz Luhrman. The data of this research was obtained through a documentation study. The data was analyzed using descriptive analytical techniques. The results of this study prove that there are; 1) Elvis Presley's efforts in achieving the American Dream, 2) The American dream that Elvis got, 3) Elvis Presley's failure. An analysis of Elvis Presley's attempt in achieveing American dream through internal factors and external factors.
